    Israel experience brings prayers to life

    From June 4-16, 2007, 23 area teens traveled to Israel on the Sarasota-Manatee Jewish Federation’s Bob Malkin Young Ambassadors teen leadership/mission to Israel program. The Young Ambassadors program, a fully subsidized teen Israel experience, is made possible, in part, by a grant from the Robert I. Lappin Charitable Foundation, which sponsors programs that are helping to keep our children Jewish. Continued

    Mission deepens commitment to Jewish life

    In July of 2007, more than 170 Jewish community volunteer leaders and professionals from 48 North American Federations – including six representatives from Sarasota-Manatee – visited Ethiopia and Israel as part of the United Jewish Communities Campaign Chairs and Director’s Mission. The mission was the largest delegation of Diaspora Jews to visit Ethiopia. Continued
