The Witness Theater Sarasota program is an innovative intergenerational "journey" for Holocaust survivors and high school students. Working together, the two generations attempt to expose the jarring stories of survival and explore issues of trauma and war experience. The survivors are narrators, and the students enact their experiences.

The group meets weekly over the course of a year. The project culminates in the production of a public performance that highlights the stories of the survivors chronicling their memories of personal survival and showcasing their revival following the war through the eyes, ears and speech of youth.
